Climate friendly
Public and regulatory pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is rising globally. Emission reduction policies are expected to be implemented soon in a number of countries. Many of those policies will target the commodity and industrial sectors. In future production, CO2 emission will be given a negative value, and the carbon footprint will become an economic differentiator.
In our industrial investments, we strategically choose solutions that offer pathways to CO2 abatement, for example, in the form of carbon free or at least less carbon- intensive technologies (“green” technologies) and carbon capture (in the form of CCS or CCU) for existing technological solutions.
Ethics
We see safety and environmental sustainability as a primary consideration for every investment in the spirit of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and view it as the responsibility of every member of staff to adhere to these standards.
We support this through continuous training of our team. We are also committed to preventing our actions' environmental and biodiversity impact while encouraging the efficient use of natural resources.
